Default ported TB

Anyone install a ported throttle body on a 2014 6.2 truck yet?

Are the TB's the same as the LT1 vette?

probably not. Just reading where the 2014 corvette guys are claiming some pretty good results just by installing one. Like 10 hp on top end (maybe more like 6-10). But for $250, that's not bad. Wondering if anyone had done it on a L86 truck yet. I hate being the first on everything.

This is what I'm looking at.

Still a total waste at that price imho. If you want a ported tv, do it yourself, be conservative and save $250

I don't feel like it would be a waste of money. Bolt on fbodys have a lot better throttle response with ported and polished tb. Also a buddy of mine has a bolt on stall 5th gen and it's a noticeable diff. I guess it all depends on who ports them

I've never noticed any kind of gains from a tb, not performance or throttle response. The only way I've found to help throttle response on the DBW trucks is in the tune up.

When I dyno tested my ported one back to back with a stock in my 03 Tahoe 5.3, it lost 4rwhp under 3500rpm then gained 5rwhp after that. A bit crisper throttle response. Mods at the time were just CAI, tune, and muffler.

There are several variables to be considered such as displacement, engine type, TB size, mods, etc.

Considering the new 6.2 ecotec will flow some decent air in stock trim and more with modifications and the fact that the throttle body is now 87 mm on the truck and the Corvette vs. 90mm on the previous Corvette, it would make sense that opening up the stock 87mm TB on this engine could be beneficial.
