Default Lift struts?

Hey wats up guys been a long time! I know i dont post much or at all really but im able to find everything i need using the search function.

I just bought a 14' silvy crew The searching I've done so far on here and google everyone seems to use rough country or ready lift for a leveling kit. I dont really like what these do to ball joint angles, tie rod angles and limiting up/down travel. I know the angle is not much more extreme and the lost travel isnt much but id still rather use something a little better engineered and not shorten the life of these components any more than necessary.

I came across pro comp, rancho, and bilstein lift struts. I have decided on bilstein being that there all around the same price and in my opinion bilstein is a superior product.

So my question has anyone used them? Anyone know anyone thats gone this route instead of a spacer? Thx in advance for any responses

King and Fox make lift coil overs as well.

A spacer that lifts the front end 2" and a shock that lifts the front 2" will do the same thing to your geometry.

You may get a little more travel out of the shocks and they are adjustable. If you are going more than 2", upper control arms are recommended and your CV angles might be a little extreme. I went with King OEM Performance shocks for my truck since the factory shocks had a lot of miles on them anyway and so far I am happy with them.

Thanks for the info on the king shocks ill have to check those out as well.

I guess i made it sound like i thought the strut wouldnt change the suspension geometry. Not what i meant. I guess what i meant to say was id rather spend money on a part that is going to make my ride better instead of worse. I know the strut is going to change angles but i dont believe it will be as bad as using a spacer and i will still have full range of travel where as a spacer is going to cause it to bottom out on rutted roads or potholes. So has anyone used these instead going the spacer route?

I've had spacers on other vehicles i hated them which is why i was interested in going this route instead. thx

There's no question if they are better or not, just whether it is worth it to you.

I put bilstein lift struts on my cousins 2010 avalanche a few years ago. No complaints. Also had the leveling spacer in the front

make sure you double check this, the 2007-2014 is misleading. the 2014 upper mount is different so the one linked most likely won't work. I've got a set I bought for my 2008 and they are different than my current '14 truck
