i'm pretty sure we are talking apples to oranges vs apples to apples. the original comment i assume was X stock truck vs matching X stock truck plus mods....... Modded truck will win every time. Of course if you say a performance oriented and factory built truck has a chance against a factory 5.3 truck I would agree. 2 5.3 ecsb 2wd with 342 gears and one has a blower.......it wins every time!!!

magnacharger did it first,I think its a great honest sales tool to have an idea of what to actually expect for gains.

My brother in law has a quad cab srt10 truck it runs 13.9 stock tune with cats deleted, magnaflow mufflers, and cai on 22s. Not too bad considering it's basically factory. I would never own one, but it's not a bad truck. I bet the best 2005 quadcab Silverado runs mid 16s with the same mods.

If I remember the quad cabs launched much better due to the extra weight over the rear and 4spd auto. Due to that I thought they were almost as quick through the 1/4 as the reg cab manuals.

whats his face took a 010 xcab 2wheel drive 6.2 with headers and his e85 tune and ran high 12s, claims/proved its a solid 13 flat truck. Not too bad considering it's basically factory.

That's a really good video gonzo it's got real world validation to it both loaded and unloaded. That's a pretty good time for a truck pulling 6K lbs.

He also towed a mastercraft x45(24.5' wakeboard boat) 200 miles. Thing gets 11-12mpg no matter what though. Surprisingly capable.

I have heard that as well although they claim it has a weaker factory tune.

Haven't seen that one. Although a 2010 is a little different story being 5 years newer. I would say it compares really well against a 2005 Denali price, build quality, etc very decent comparison. I'm not saying it's the greatest truck ever. I am amongst the biggest dodge haters. However, my brother in laws srt10 is a damn nice ride. It smokes the crap out of my ride and I plan to do my best to catch him, but it's gonna take some doing.
