Default guys with flip kits come in here

I went ahead and ordered one for my truck, kinda nervous as this'll be the first I've ever done major suspension mods like this to a truck, but it's all gravy.

my questions are:

A: what all cutting/welding was required with the 2014 kits? I've read/heard that there is no c notch required for just a regular flip kit on these trucks, is that accurate with your experiences?

B: what flip kit did you go with for your's, I got the BellTech 6525 5-6" drop unit for mine. The only picture I could find showed to have a new hanger for the springs, did you have to do this on your flip kit or no?

If you don't cut the hanger off and replace it, you will have like a 7" drop. I have done a few kits that where adustabe from 4-5". Getting the hanger off is a little chore but not to bad. You will need to cut the bump stop bracket off either way you go.

after thinking about it a little bit… I went ahead and changed the order to the 6526 part number that is the 7" flip kit. I'll keep the 2" shackles in place to get a 5" overall drop (give or take a little)

well my figuring was wrong, the stock shackle hanger with the 2" shackles I have now would make it a 9" drop lol... WAY to low for me. S

Youll need lift hangers so you can adjust it to 5 or 6 inch of drop outback and of of course youll need to use the original shackles

yep, that's what I figured out after the fact. For some reason I had it backwards in my head.
