Default guys with assassin bars...

when you cut the front spring clamp off to put the bracket on there over the "nipple", did you clamp the spring before you cut the band off there? Also, those that have done it, what technique did you go with to cut it off, what tools etc. Thanks in advance

I cut leafs right in front of that clip and the brackets fit fine.

Yea....be careful on the gas tank side, or turn away from the tank. I almost burnt a hole in the side of the tank when it was full of gas because I wasnt paying attention....that wouldve been a bad day 0_o

yea that would have gotten serious real quick lol... I'll figure something out to keep that from happening! Looks like I'm off to harbor freight to buy a hand full of cutoff wheels!

A sawzall might be easier....it got kind of hard to tell when I started to cut into the next leaf.

I just unbolted the leaf, removed the locator pin in the spring pack, slid the middle leaf back 2-3inches, Drilled a new hole in the second spring, then reinstalled the locator pin...
