It was part of the cam kit from TSP. All I had to to do was replace the lifter with LS7 lifters and tap in the 8 oil plugs in to the valley the block. It took maybe 10 minutes to put all the oil plugs in. I just made sure I stuffed a bunch of rags into the valley of the block Incase one of the plugs went flying. But then all went in easily

One other thing I noticed about installing the seals on the injectors.

Remember how we talking how using this injector seal tool. You thought in the video you watched the seals looked like they stretched to much and would be lose.

Well I ended up using this tool and it work fairly well and when you first slide the seal on they are lose. But after a while they seem to shrink back to their original size.

Yeah I was concerned about over stretching with my little pen cap if it wasn't shaved down some. I've seen a couple of ways to get around need the shrinker since then so I'm a little less concerned about the stretching. But thank you for the info on the installer. I may order one just to have laying around. Next time I do a set I may not use anything though. The more I think about it the more I think I could have just wiggled them on.

So the block off plugs... they weren't the rivet type? You just tap them down with a hammer?

Go to exactly 56:00 minutes in. He had a stage 3 TSP kit for the LT1 and I had the same type of oil plugs in mine.

Sweet I haven't seen those yet. I like that a lot better than the pipe plug type that you have to thread in

If I could have the motor upside down I wouldn't mind the thread in kind so the shavings would fall out and they would be easier to remove if you ever had to. But for doing it in the car those are sweet

Had my first oh **** moment

The very first first bolt on the intake manifold on the driver side, closest to the bumper.

My spreed sheet say to torque those bolt down to 44 lb in first pass then 89 lb in second pass. I doubled checked I was using inch pound and I didn’t even make it to 44 lb in before it snapped the bolt in two. Flush in the head might I add.

i guess will see if the rest of them will seal it enough.
