I agree. That's what i'm starting to think as well. Besides my most recent mod is a car seat as of a few days ago so a crew cab is sounding good. Although I really do like this truck except when i drive it and it shakes me to death. I do like the sport truck look. I guess We'll see what happens.

Can you define what you're calling the "Chevy shake?"

What I'm experiencing comes in strong right at 100 mph, feel like going over rumble strips on the side of the highway. Disappears as soon as I let off. I'm thinking it has to be the driveshaft but I thought Chevy supposedly fixed the driveshaft problem in 2017 models?

[QUOTE=FELONIOUS1;5406465]Can you define what you're calling the "Chevy shake?"

Mine starts around 65 up to 75. slightly goes away above 80. My description fro me wold be extremely out of balance re tires out of alternating each other with up and down. That same result has been with stock 17's oem 20's and tbss 22's. I can turn my mirror down and see the rear tire and it blows my mind that nothing has broken yet. It looks pretty violent. Another weird twist is that it does not always seem to be present. Example being my truck sat for a few weeks and decided to drive it to work the other day. To my surprise smooth as glass for a few miles with the cruise on 75. Then out of nowhere it began and never quit. I have replaced my driveshaft with an aluminum one from Denny's. A few other members suggest i replace axles or at least check the flange just haven't made it that far yet.(new house and baby) I need to get the go pro out

Mine is most certainly the driveshaft, comes in right at 100 mph and shakes violently and goes away as soon as I let off. I have heard about the axles flanges not being 100% true from factory.

yep. I replaced one that was out and for some reason i didnt check the new one after install a long time ago. and as 07 softatil put it i probably swapped a bad one for a bad one which is completely my luck. I figure if i stick it out with this truck i will try some yukon axles maybe. Like i said a long time ago im tired of dumping mod money into chasing problems. Not enough time ism biggest problem currently

Factory driveshafts are only rated for 100mph, that is exactly why the factory speed limiters were set at like 98mph. Get a built shaft before it explodes.

That isn't the Chevy shake, that is you hitting DS critical speed, lol.
