Whoa! That does not sound encouraging, care to elaborate on the issues or bad luck you have had? I sure hope this turns out to be a good truck, I have always had great service out of all the GM trucks I have owned since the early 90s.

I decided to buy a new truck but didn't want to spend 40K or so. Then I figured I could get by with a RCSB since I am no longer married and don't have any kids. Of course being a gear head I had to have the DI 5.3 engine in it just a shame they don't offer it with the 6.2
Yes, It has been awhile. I saw your post on LS1Tech about the waterjets

Are you still running them and the laser or did you change positions?

I agree with you on the used truck market. The last 2 trucks I have purchased were Salvaged. Fixed entirely by me with the exception of the paint work and that's only because I don't have the time or a nice both to do the work in.

The 6.2 is only a swap away...

I really like the 15 Option's But being a new platforum and knowing the past history, I would like to see how durable they are and what type of issues they develop over time before I commit.

I had just moved into the office to train on the programming side of things when you came down to install the Mitsubishi. After I got a couple of guys trained on it, I went back to the laser for a little while to train a new guy on that machine. Went back to the office shortly after and been in there a little over two years now.

I bought a 98 Camaro SS a couple of years ago with a 6.2 in it, raced it for about a year & half and broke the timing chain in it. Wound up selling the long block to a friend, he's putting it in a 99 S-10. I wound up spending a but load building a LSX 427" with TFS Gen X 255 LS3 heads and the FAST 102/102 setup I already had. Just got it all up and running bout a month or so ago. Engine dyno'd 650/580 on the engine dyno, and in the car through a 4L85E trans & 12 Bolt rear w/3:73s and full 4" exhaust put down 540/521 on a Mustang dyno. First trip to the track ran a 10.78 @ 127 mph on a crappy 1.62 60 ft. Should have some 10.40-10.50s in it with a better 60 ft. Not too bad for 3900 lb raceweight.

If I had only known that the 6.2 would have had a future home

I hope everything will be good with the new truck. I will try to post some pics this evening, I just finished cleaning it up this morning. I will get some " before " pics to start off with.

Just added pics to the bottom of first post. These will serve as the " before" pics. Probably get the windows tinted first, and be on the lookout for some 20" wheels & tires and decide on a 2"/4" or 3"/5" lowering kit.

I'm havering a lot of problems with the tranny and t-case. The flaring in this six speed is enough to make me drive if off a cliff. And the t-case keeps locking itself in 2wd. This winter was brutal and not having 4wd when I need it up here in the great white north not fun on the hwy with over 8 inches of snow. Hopefully the dealer gets its **** together or I'm ditching this pos. don't get me wrong I love the looks comfort and Color of this truck but I do need a reliable one as well.

I think we discussed that in a PM before, My bad.

As far as the 6.2, I wouldn't worry about it as the new LT1 DI engines are complete different animals. I am not sure the block could even be used.

I would like to get back out there and see your stuff run. I still work for MC so if I get sent back out I will hit you up.

EDIT: Never mind I see you added them to the first post. I Love that color!!!
