Default BONE STOCK 2014+ 5.3's on nitrous?

Does anyone have first hand knowledge of how STOCK TUNE DI 5.3's react to nitrous? It seems to me that at 5,300 lbs the tranny will be the weak spot...

I am thinking 100-150hp should not be a problem on 2nd/3rd gear rollouts, in M3 with TC on and Trailering ON.

TO appease the LGBT trolls- I will confess that I am more interested at what failed and when, as well as your setups. Not what you read. But what you saw.

Default Thats a broad statement...

Do you have any first hand experience or technical knowledge (DI/E93?) to validate that assertion?

The 6L80e is way stronger than you may think, it's not a 4L60e anymore.

It should support 400-500whp just fine, but if you abuse it it might not.

Thats what I have read- I have towed my Jeeps with this thing (Max Trailer pkg) and have been VERY impressed. Like I described in the OP, I am just interested in 2nd to third roll outs on spray- I gave up on 5,500lb drag cars in the 90s!

I see so many folks with these new trucks throwing money at them, I figure SOMEONE has sprayed a bone stocker.

I've sprayed stock tune vehicles before, and it doesn't work well for long... These engines are not going to be any accept ion. Once I begin spraying this one it will not be on a stock tune for I am neither an idiot nor cheap enough to risk losing my engine for the cost of a tune.

Um- you posted about changing your OIL...with a GoPro...on your HEAD.

A GoPro.

On your head.

To change the oil.

Thanks for posting, though!

Too much oxygen will cause all kinds of issues.

Mainly a lean condition, lean makes holes in the top of your pistons.

Swiss cheese doesn't help the compression ratio.

For the cost of a tune...I wouldn't chance it.

I use my GoPro for pretty much everything I do... Sorry you don't have experience with going fast and performing modifications like this, I'll refrain from helping you in the future.

Feel free to blow that hunk of **** up on a stock tune!! Can't wait to see the carnage pics if you have the ***** to post them.
