Damm guys whats the deal when the NNBS forum was started it blew the hell up and everyone was modding the hell out of those trucks pages and pages of new cool stuff and ideas to read new every day. What's going on it's like a funeral home in here for the new 014 up rides what gives.

What he said....
And the older stuff is soooo much simpler. I've had to re-remind my wife a few times that this is probably the newest truck Ill have. Theres alot I like about it but so much crap I dont. Looking for the one Ive got seemed hopeless for a while. I wasnt taking one with Onstalker and a Bose stereo to have to rewire. Didnt think the stripped LT 4x4 existed...

I agree, kinda quiet around these parts...
I've been hanging here for a long time and check in every day, but haven't posted much recently
When I bought my 2010 I had a ton of parts to go on before the truck even arrived
The forum was very alive at that time too.
I have a 2015 Gmc now and have done the exhaust, lowered it 2/3, done the intake, tint, box liner. That's with 1000 miles on it.
I will have it tuned next week . Just gotta figure out the bugs in HPT for BETA 2.25 and logging.
Only thing I wouldn't do to this truck is headers, it sounds perfect to me with 3.5 inch Magnaflow cat back and I don't want to make it any louder.
I am looking for wheels but haven't fiqured out what I want yet.
So, I am still modding and contributing to the economy.

Everyone is my area just lifts them or levels them with heavy heavy wheel's and LT tires on a truck that with NEVER see the dirt. Maybe one or two has exhaust but thats really it and nobody really lowers them around here because we deal with snow.
But all the NNBS or NBS truck people do more with because of cost of the vehicle and mods.

I think it's gonna take a bit for people to catch up, both on the tuning front and the modification side. The whole new engine creates a new learning curve. Gm also made the tuning side much more traceable now on the trucks.
As for HPT, you guys have to keep in mind it is a beta. This means it's not the final build, they do this to get feedback and test. If people trash talk a beta it will push the company to not release betas and that's not beneficial to either party. Constructive criticism is best, if there is a issue let them know so they can address it. Just stating a beta is crap does nothing, that's not a reason and it doesn't help HPT at all.

This is my 1st post on here just sort of hiding out keeping quite. Three months ago we bought a left over 14 RCSB 5.3 6 speed to be our shop truck basicly the sole purpose was to mod the hell out of it show what we could do. But between all the little hiccups and Chevrolet constantly telling us they dont have a fix for this and that but they promise answers are comming. Its hard to remain excited about it I've been doing a lot of reading and learned alot about the newest Silverado's on here some have same problems as us some dont. We got tired of waiting, decided to hell with any warranty and gutted the interior of the truck. It's not all bad but not all good either. Alot of airbag wires that run from seats/ side curtains to the module in center of floor have no protection while routed over sharp panel seams. The floor and back wall are insulated better than I have ever seen yet above the headliner absolutely nothing. With all the nanny stuff they have engineered into this truck we have decided to build in a independent secondary electrical system so that I can circumvent some of the creature comforts and program to run as I wish. The big HP upgrades seem to be superchaging or turbo which seems counter productive if you cant get full control of the transmission. So guess its kinda of a wait and see type thing. If anyone needs pics of what our trucks look like bare on inside or a measurement feel free to ask be glad to send it to you or post it up if its allowed.

I agree on the tuning from HPT, they will figure it out. Feedback from end users is part of the process.
As far as they rest of it goes, the aftermarket is up to speed on most the routine upgrades, headers, cat backs, suspension, intakes, etc.
There might be a few gray areas for applications, it was hard for me to verify what spindles I needed, but I got it right with a little google time.
