The 5.3 and 6.2 will be a new generation of engine I guess with improved power and functions for fuel mileage and for sure will be the bulk seller like you say.
Outside of the rear vents, I like the 14-18 interior better.

I need to look into this new generation of engine. I'm assuming it'll be a similar version of the current LT, wouldn't think they would be doing a full revamp of it just yet.

GM really messed up with this one.

The Silverado is still growing on me, but the Sierra looks terrible it looks like the bulldog of trucks.
I was always a fan of the square wheel wells, but i can deal with it.
Originally i hated the 14-15 style, and was really happy with the 16-17 facelift.
Im glad these new models are gonna drop the price tag on the 16-17 as i will be in the market.
Only thing i dislike of the newer trucks is the bulky interiors. The best interiors till today are the 08-13 denali/escalade interiors.

Hopefully these trucks grow on me, not like im in the market for a new truck, but after the 17 year model, i might try my luck with the Titan, i saw a badass lifted one a couple days ago, that really caught my attention.

Not trying to be a dick, but the 08 to 13 interior was the worst ever. Seat were crapp, rattles everywhere, plastic dash that cracks, poor ergonomics, the list goes on and on. The 14 model plus trucks interior is fantastic! The ergonomics are light years ahead, integration with digital media is better, better dash design, better seats, etc...

Drop the price tag? Where did you read that? If GM follows sop there will be a price bump...

So listening to that YouTube video if I heard that rep correctly the "entry" trim to get the 6.2 is now the High Country... smart GM. Guys that want to tow sure probably all want a truck that I dont doubt will be 6 figures up here in Canada. Or you know... you can buy the top line 3.5 eco and the 10 speed in a basic XLT model F150 supercab lol.

If I had to guess I would say there would be little to no changes at all.

I only said check into the gen because FFDP said there was a new generation of engine. IMO it's way too soon for a redesign.

With fuel economy standards creeping up on them it's bound to happen, so some sort of major change is coming.

From the limited stuff out there, they say the new technology added will allow the engine to shut off up to 7 cylinders at one time instead of just 4. So whatever they are doing sounds like it's going to be pretty different.

The Chicago auto show is this coming weekend so maybe more info will be released.
