8 Speed and 4:56’s? For the sake of conversation
Anyone run 4:56 or greater gears on a 32/33” tire? If guys are runnin 4:10’s on the same size tire with 4 speeds, in theory, could you run a 4:56 with an 8 Speed and have a massive mechanical advantage without revving to the moon on the freeway.
Of course tune would be required. I think that goes without saying.

With a 4.56 1st gear and 4.56 final drive in my truck it would shift to 2nd about 35-40 out. Not the best for 60ft times unless thats not a consideration. I wouldnt.

I’ve got 4.10s in my 6.2/8 spd truck with 33s now and it’s way too low of a gear. Hang up trying to do any kind of launch. It’s fine for the highway, but if I could do it again I would have went 3.73 so I couldn’t imagine 4.10s

Sounds like you have an excuse to go to larger tires!
What gears did you have originally? How did those do on the 33's, or did you have stock gears with 33's
With the 8 speed having such short gears, and so many, I would think damn near any ratio that's offered would work well even with decent size tires.
