Anyone lurking who has a hopped up 6.6 gasser HD. I've been looking for builds tune ups etc for the L8T still in the truck it came in and not in a swap and there doesn't seem to be any. I've been thinking about getting into a HD and thinning the herd down to 1 in the garage.

We shall see since everyone gets the duramax's.
I wish they would bring back the pacific blue dark blue metallic. Color is to each their own but I flat do not like the downpour metallic blue as much as my other trucks it's no where near as gorgeous when washed waxed and in the sun. But at this point I'll take whatever blue I can get GM'S current color selections are pure blah they are all boring bland. Ford with their antimatter blue is a drop dead good looking color.
Bring back the custom two tones if any gm peeps read this that actually give two cents what their customers want.
Pretty dark blue or dark green metallics and two tones

I haven’t looked in over a year now but only thing I know of was the magnuson kit. It did come with a 2650 though, that charger is a beast. I think tuning would be the biggest hurdle, I haven’t heard of anyone tuning an L8T yet.

People have been tuning the 6.6's but it's just really expensive to do, so most people don't want to spend the money on it. Plus you need someone that really understands the newest computers as they are a fair bit different than tuning a E92 in a K2XX truck.
But if Magnuson comes with a tune for it, that's the best case right there.
And I've seen a few 6.6 swaps but those are easy because it's just a bigger 6.2 at that point and tuning is rather easy if you already know those computers.

Just gotta wait to do much until the tuning comes around in time. The allisons pretty fair in a blah stock kinda way but GM tranny's alway's shine with a good hot rod tune. Just gotta wait for trans tuning ability from HP in the future it seems.
I know we are a GM site but I'm so hung between a gmc and a ford. GM has direct injection fords got no replacement for displacement with the 7.3.
All I'm after is base model in Blue CC 8ft bed I've driven both and each have their strengths and weakness's.
GM smaller engine rides way better ford has a big hairy pair with 7.3 but rides not GM HD refined.

I Just couldn't pull the trigger on a blue oval I drove a new 7.3 low trim truck and just couldn't do it. I contemplated another 2 months Then went to GMC place and ordered one this afternoon.
Ordered a 3500 pro CCLB 6.6 gasser in blue added a few other options.
