Default 4x4 drop spindles

Has anyone found a drop spindle that works for a 4x4? I'm looking to do that or spacers or shorter struts but it's all for 2wd trucks only. My truck has steel spindles so I am not sure if something like a Belltech will work with a cv axle through it or not... Belltech states they do not.

Are you sure? I thought they were the same as long as you have steel control arms and spindles.

I have no idea... Belltech just says 2wd only with all their spindle kits for 2014+. My truck isn't a Z71 and does not have aluminum anything. Has anyone done it? I don't want to take the truck apart to find out here.

Belltech Sport Trucks and Muscle Cars says 2wd, 4wd, AWD here....but as far as selecting an application, 2wd was the only option.

Click the pdf link for install instructions, it shows cv's.

Kris at suspension source knows her **** and will be able to confirm for you that they will work. I don't doubt they told you they won't work. The last two flip kits I used Belltech said are regular cab only but in the instructions they include specific steps for crewcab install.

Yeah they show the 2509 working on the gmt900 4x4 hence the instructions. .. but then everything they publish for the 2014 plus says 2wd only... Kind of conflicting. On another forum I am on all the dropped 2014 + 4x4 trucks are either struts, spacers or control arms. Nobody has told me they don't work... I can just read lol. Just trying to find someone that's actually installed them before I go ahead and try to do the same.

I've got Ground Force 2 inch spindles on mine- no issues.
Only issues are with aluminum lower control arms, ball joints are different.
Ground Force are made better anyway, imho

Well Belltech should work then. I have steel lowers so the balljoints should be no different than the 900s. Once I get my trans repaired I will give it a whirl.

If you want some brand new McGaughy's 2" drop spindles (34050) I have a new set.... Apparently, the 2016's now have larger ball joints, and nobody knew about the change, so I had to buy the Tahoe spindles, 34200... It seems the company I bought them from is giving me a hard time, since it's my fault that GM changed it up and I ordered the wrong stuff!

Well if I didn't have this Belltech stuff here already I would take you up on it. Belltech has pissed me off before with a track width nonsense change on my 96 but I don't think that should be a problem here.

I had their spindles on my 2008, and they REALLY changed the toe of my truck. I'm hoping that the McGaughy's spindles are a bit closer to factory.
