Remove 1" lift block and get some 2" drop shackles. http://www.belltech.com/products/shackle-kit-12869.html
You will run out of thread on the u bolts after removing the lift block. This kit includes some thick washers.

Any idea what sort of modifications would need to be made to assassin bars that are already installed on the stock (no-drop) setup if I wanted to use these shackles to drop 2-3"?

I pulled the blocks out of mine but noticed the other day there is now only about 3 or 4 inches to the bump stop. yard of mulch or a good size trailer and i might be riding on the stops now....

2" shackles and removed block here also and it sits pretty damn close to level. Looks SO much better than stock.
I was also concerned about the loss of travel like colekill so I think I'm going to get some air bags for when I have to haul one of the race bikes around or something like that.
If you do it, go ahead and throw a hellwig or other sway bar on that bitch, handles so much better the way mines setup now versus stock!

I went ahead and put shock extenders on mine to regain some travel from the shock. It also relocates the shock to be at a better working angle. I measured the shock before I installed the extenders, then after, I gained back 1 1/2" of travel. I only dropped the back 2 inches though.. Worth it in my eyes..
