Default 2018 LTZ Z71 5.3L Upgrades?

Hello!
Looking for advice on some performance upgrades for my truck, I started out with S&B Filters 75-5116 CAI and now I have the itch for more1

Looking at the L86 TB and Manifold swap, I don't know if i should get the manifold ported or just stick with the stock l86.

What other "easy" wins can I get out or the truck? any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I did the manifold and TB on my 14. I’d skip it and put the money towards long tubes, a good muffler, and a solid tune.

!
Theyre all easy, drive truck to shop, leave credit card, pick-up truck, happy smiles.

See, that was easy. J

For real though, everything costs money, what are you wanting to spend/budget? 2k? 5k?

Yeah I understand these respond very well to long tubes and exhaust NA. Tune too, good advice as always. Maybe a filter?

Only system I've heard of doing any good is the Volant. Which I have my old one for sale.

Headers and exhaust go a really long way for power, and add MPG

A full intake is a good idea, here's a breakdown of how they dyno/perform
Black Bear Performance :: Intake Comparison Test Results - 2016 Direct Injection Models

E85 conversion adds a lot too if you don't already have an e85 truck

A good tune is an absolute must have

The L86 throttle body and intake help, but I think it adds right around 9 hp in stock form if I remember right. GPI tested it on a truck that already had heads cam headers...

MANIFOLD / TB................................................ ...........................RWHP TQ
L83 (5.3L) Factory Manifold / L83 (5.3L) Throttle Body.....................376 383
L86 (6.2L) Factory Manifold / L86 (6.2L)Throttle Body......................385 389
L86 (6.2L) Ported Factory Manifold / L86 (6.2L) Throttle Body.........393 392

Skip all the little stuff and just do a supercharger.

Or that, but with headers exhaust and e85, or at minimum exhaust. The stock exhaust sucks on these things and I'd hate to try to cram even more air through a straw.

I'm on on my 5th exhaust setup. Every change I made to the exhaust made noticeable improvements, each step I made I made it flow more, and each time power and mpg went up.

I just did an AFE on my truck. My next mod in the list is the intake and ported throttle body. Then is the Flex Fuel sensor, headers and exhaust. But honestly these will probably all be done at the same time and i'll take it straight to get tuned right after.

I hear ya, but if you do it in any order, do headers/exhaust first before intake and throttle body, the exhaust is horrible and trying to cram more air into a bad exhaust just makes two wrongs.
