Really well actually. It's a tight converter and under normal driving conditions can't even tell it is there.

My stocker will stall ~ 3k with the Whipple however I have to leave at idle because of traction. Still a little worried that it may give up if I increase the power in the next couple yrs and I sure don't want to toast the tranny.

Mine does pretty good off the line stalled up. I'm happy with my converter. Was a good combo with the ProCharger. If I had a Whipple or Maggie I would have kept the stock converter because of all the low end power those produce.

Don't worry too much, you can get low mileage used ones for 1300-1800, most are around 20-30k miles for 1300, LKQ sells theirs for 1800. I was worried about my trans when I bought my truck until I saw I could get a 20k mile used one for 1300 from some yards.

You need to get the 4 digit code of the side of yours to match up to the replacement unit though, it's something along the lines of ACCA..

I looked into transmissions quite a bit and rebuilds are 3500 and up, new replacement units from GM and Jasper are around 3k, jasper I believe gives a 100k warranty too. I'd be just fine with a low mile used one and there's plenty of them out there since these trucks are still so new.

I called the best trans builder I know after going through probably 20 of them (worked as a tech all my life so I've been in a lot of trans shops with customer cars) and he said it's pointless to rebuild the 6L80 because to do it right it costs him near 3k and to make money he has to charge at least 3500-3800 to make a few bucks. Then he told me about it being cheaper to just buy a Jasper unit with a long warranty and put those in. I personally would still rather have an OE unit.

Yeah for just a tune and a cat-back exhaust in a 4 door mid-size family car its fast. His best time this spring when it was 58 out was 12.37 in that car.

If I didn't hate Fords so much (the hate comes from being a tech and working on them) I'd buy one for the wife after seeing that video..

Decent mileage as well. With the aggressive tuning still getting 24-26mpg on average which for an awd car isn't terrible.

Nice job, your truck runs very consistent (60' & ET). Are you still on stock exhaust manifolds?

That Fusion is way faster than I thought one of those would run!!

Thanks! It has been pretty consistent for sure. Stock manifolds and 2 out of the 3 factory cats.
