Default 2017 Silverado Z71 5.3 e85 times

Took my truck to the track again. This time with an e85 tune. Was a little warmer this weekend 63 degrees. Same mods as before 2017 Silverado Z71 Double Cab 1LT 4x4 5.3 6 speed, 265/65/18R wheels and tires, 3.42 gears, K&N Drop in filter, Spintech 6000 muffler, Klug Performance tune, full street weight of 5500lbs with me in it, and 1/4 tank of e85. Truck was brake stalled to 2400rpm, launched in 4wd, manually shifted to 6200rpm, Traction Control off. Made 4 passes, 14.30 @ 96.38 2.03 60ft, 14.30 @ 96.01 2.02 60ft, 14.31 @ 95.97 2.05 60ft, and 14.33 @ 95.93 2.06 60ft. Very happy with my results out of this truck. With the tune and e85 that is 9 tenths and 9mph faster in the 1/4 mile than stock. Huge thank you to Klug Performance for those gains.

Very nice times.

They're got these new 5.3s pumping out a lot of power. It's certainly making more than a gen3 LQ9.

Yeah these new DI motors are pretty amazing. I had a 2015 Silverado Double Cab 1LT 4x4 with the 4.3 and that truck stock ran 16.19 and with the same mods got that truck down to 15.14 Hoping with some more tweaks we can get it even closer to 13s tune only.

Wow. Bottom 14's! That's what guys used to be able to get out of the SSS with similar mods when conditions were perfect back in the day.

Yeah the aluminum body Ecoboosts are quick, running mid to low 14s stock, and running 12.50 tuned. Just not sure about how the Ecoboost turbo setup holds up over time with having that 12 second tune over a long period of time. I know the 5.3 will hold up just fine with the tune I have. They are very impressive that is for sure. Just prefer the Silverado styling and interior over the F150 I test drove. Plus the 14,000 in rebates I got on my truck made it an easier choice.
