How many 014+ 4x4 driveshaft fails have you seen?

 

Yeah not going to be doing any more over 100 unless I start trapping over 100 at the track. Then I'll look into some after market drive shafts as well.

 

seen aftermath of 2 & heard about a 3rd. (1 tahoe & 2 trucks)
all were going over 115mph when it happened.
the one i heard about was on a dyno.

seen a few vids of last generation w/ same issue on dyno.

want to say i read about another on this forum, but it may have been a '07-14


havent heard/seen any issues w/ front shaft, but also sure none were in 4hi.

4x4 has a shorter driveshaft, right? I would think you're better off than the 2wd guys. I would think it all depends on the rear end ratio as well.

 

He hit 45mph in 1st gear, I'm guessing the 3.08.

Just message him off facebook... he's slow to reply... and repeatedly tells you he normally isn't like that haha. Email or phone number is the same result.. tuning is just a sideline hobby.

 

Truck has 3.42's just a lot higher shift points

 

We were just working on my tune some more last night. Best way to get a hold of him is on Facebook or text his cell. His main job working on AG equipment guidance and service starts to get really busy this time of year.

 

MIne shifts at like 37-38mph, and I have a 6100rpm shift point and 3.42’s. Stock wheels and tires, that’s odd.
