2017 6.2 whipple
Hello all. I'm a new member. I'm looking at a 2017 silverado at a dealer in the Louisville area with a whipple and long tubes. It's a black on black ltz z71 with a color matched cap. I was hoping that someone on here would know the history of this truck or even be the previous owner. Shot in the dark for sure. Either way, all replies are welcome.

Hopefully that link works. Like I said, shot in the dark here.

I’d be wary of the 8 speed and a super charger. That trans can barely hold a stock motor, they need serious money invested and a great tuner to hold up.

How disappointing about the transmission. I had to put a transmission in my bolt on and tuned lbz duramax and it pissed me off to the point that I sold it immediately after I fixed it. Is the 8 speed more expensive than an Alison? I'm not allergic to spending money and I'll rarely tow anything heavier than 2 dirt bikes or 2 waverunners for my boy and I. Once again, thanks y'all.

Allison is a cake walk compared to the 8l90.

For a supercharged application you will be into any model years trans and they are all expensive to build. Stock trucks seem ok just don’t beat on them in 4x4 at the track or you be going into it anyway. The 6,2 produces enough torque to glaze clutches stock, so any real power upgrade will equal trans upgrade and converter.

Very well then. So just for ***** and giggles, say I have 15k to spend over and above what the truck costs. I want something that will run a 12 sec 1/4. I want to launch it in 4wd. I don't give a damn about mpg. I want to be able to drive it with a 7000 lbs trailer anywhere. And... not a diesel. Spend my money for me.
