A 2.4L Camry does 22MPG HWY, compared to a truck, wow.

It would be a LOT higher too if the engine was E85 only instead of dual fuel. If the SCR was raised to around 14:1 and a cam ground to use it.... LOOK OUT these things would fly!

Of course, and that would be awesome, except the fuel mileage would be awful and 90% of the country couldn't drive them since E85 is still a fairly rare fuel.

LOL well i agree with the accessibility of the fuel, but not the mileage. Tuned and set up properly for E85 only you could rival current mileage, maybe even better it. Less specific gravity sure but a hella lot higher octane, so you should be able to squeeze it out further with less so to speak

Ethanol carries less energy per gallon than gasoline (72%), so what you are saying is impossible. A well-tuned E85 engine could certainly rival a rich gas setup for efficiency, but both engines tuned to maximum efficiency will find the gasoline engine ahead by a noticeable margin.

I'm not going to say I don't love E85; I truly think it is brilliant and wish that it was more widely available, but it does have a significant reduction in range versus E10.
