Don't use auto, either 4wd or 2.

Agree 100%.

What I found when leaving it in 4wd high, the parasitic loss hurt my 1/4 mile time and top speed. Be best results were launching in 4 wd high then switching back to 2wd before the 1st gear shift. (keep pedal WOT).
