She has a stock 5.3 and it eats oil because of the way they were built. I want to swap it out for a 6.2 or 6.0. Now with the 6.2 do you have to get new headers or can you use the same headers. If it can use the same headers I am going with the 6.2

 

They'll fit! The only main difference in the swap would be going from the AFM/DOD on the 5.3 to the VVT on the 6.2....

 

That is a good thing right there by it's self lol

 

Just use the front cover, timing gear from 5.3 unless you swap to a 3 bolt cam.
Headers fit with no issues, produce more low end tq but do die out up top. If its not a race suv then dont stress with it
