Why the hell

You are ALL wrong, here are the proper definitions (1/2 ton only in this example):
NBS = 1988 GMT400, 1999 GMT800, 2007 GMT900
"Classic" (aka OBS) = 1988 GMTxxx (?), 1999 GMT400, 2007 GMT800.
NNBS = Nonsense.
NBS when referring to any non-overlap year vehicle = Nonsense
"Classic" (OBS) when referring to any non-overlap year vehicle = Nonsense
i.e. There is no such thing as a 2004 "NBS" GM truck.

y do you guys make such a big **** about it? we've been calling the 88-99's OBS, 99-07,(classic) nbs and the 07's the NNBS.. its been like that for well over a yr (to my knowledge since thats about how long I've been a member). Y the **** does it matter what we call them when we know what we mean. if we start saying 'GMT900s are better looking' and everyting no ones gonna get it. Unless you want the threads titled "what do the acronyms mean?" as often as the cam threads then go ahead. Just leave well enough alone or call them by year if it bothers you so bad.
and for the record body styles changed 88-99, 99-03, and 03-07. There is obviously overlap because for instance my truck was build in 99 but its considered a 00.

ok well how often are those talked about in this forum?? its not worth making a moniker (sp?), obviously. Just call them what you want then, I hear people say **** wrong all the time (wrong to me) but Im not like "hey **** head! thats not how you say that word!" haha just saying call it what you want but its not worth getting flustered over. lifes too ******* short!
