I have just headers, no cats, and a 14" magnaflow..its pretty loud but i dont get much for cab noise since its basically stock exit..

a lot of people throw a bullet in front of a muffler to cut down on the rasp, so that plus the larger muffler should give you a nice, solid sound while not being overly loud..and it should still flow plenty since the bullet is a straight through and the magnaflow flows great

why are you yelling at us LOL

Like others mentioned just get a really long muffler and if that's still not enough get a resonator installed after that

4" hands down IMO most 5.3 guys go from 2.5" to 3" so I figured 3.5" to 4" on the 6.2s

You'll be fine with 3.5", IMO.

I have had quite a number of aftermarket exhausts over the years and multiple exhausts on a number of vehicles on everything from small displacement v6s all of the way to a supercharged 32 valve v8.

I have found that dynomax super turbos are reasonably quiet and flow well, but probably are not made in 3.5". Borla & Magnaflow are straight through designs and are pretty loud and often have resonance at certain rpms. Flowmaster (can't remember which model) sounds alright but supposedly doesn't flow very well. I am pretty fond of the hooker aerochambers too and I am pretty sure they make a 3.5" muffler...I may try that one on my truck.

One statement I have heard that I buy into the most for exhaust systems is that long tubes make any exhaust about twice as loud.

I think that 3.5" should be adequate unless you are looking to support 600+ hp.

that's my 2.5 cents...hope it's worth something to you
