well it all comes down too
what are your supporting modifications?
what other mods do you have planned?
are you willing to do a stall converter?

whats the ultimate goal for the truck?
where do you want your power?
what do you use it for? do you tow?
do you want to keep vvt?

I want to keep it as my daily driver, mods are CAI, exhaust, a stall wouldnt be a issur if it needs it. Id like to get more power without going the supercharger or nitrous direction. I was thinking cam, valvesprings and tune, maybe underdrive pulleys and shorty headers...thanks for any help.

I wouldnt really waste the money on shorty headers, I had some on for a bit and didnt notice the slightest difference so I went to long tubes when I did my cam.
to get the most out of a cam you should definitely do a stall, even if its just a tiny one like my 3000 stall.
who are you thinking of for a tune? gonna do a in person or mail order? the auto cal from black bear performance lets you update as you do more mods
for a cam you could definitely go the tried tested and true TSP 220R or the comp cam 212/218 or you could call Geoff at EPS and have one custom grinded

If shorty headers would be a waste what long tube headers would you recoomend? Ill definatly look into these cams, would you recommend a 3000 stall for either of these cams on a daily driver. I was thinking nelson for the tune and I would have them do it in person. thanks for the help

LTs I really like the TSP stainless headers. The other option is pacesetter for budget headers. Longtubes or nothing in my opinion.
For a Cam I would go a little bigger since you have a 6.2 and your not afraid of a stall.
224/228 is an awesome cam that has great sound and drivability while delivering a lot of across the rpm range power. If you are willing to get more aggressive 231/234 .607/.611 LSA111+4 would be a mean *** cam for your build.
I would suggest the 3400 stall from circle d it does great in daily driven 6speeds.
You will want to delete any DOD or vvt BS its not worth the hassle.
Nelson does great in person tunes one of the best around.

DOD/AFM should be deleted on every vehicle. Especially on cam swapped vehicles. It's prone to failure and limits your cam options really badly. Same goes for VvT
