It firms up the shifts it's a decent cheap mod. Do servos an a shift kit an never look back

yea. that's basically it.
They cost about $25, easy to install. Makes the shift firm and makes the clutches last longer.
Both servo and Shift kit are very cheap and increase the shift performance and life of the transmission.

Exactly I think it's worth the time an money. There should be a write up for the servo install on the nbs but it'll be the same on the nnbs

I also recommend a 4th gear billet servo. When you burn up clutches 4th is usually the first to go. It's nice being able to feel 4th grab nice and solid and knowing you've reduced the slippage on it greatly.

What brands are people running for a 4th gear servo? TCI? Jet?

Mine came with the transmission from FLT. It's a level 4 and I requested the 4th gear servo in the build.
They use Sonnax super hold servos.
Corvette servo is cheapest for 1-2. they are all over the place for like $10-$15. The 4th gear servo is where you want to check around, they range from $50-$100.

You'd be fine with just a 1-2 for now and then when you buy a built one I'd definitely request the 4th gear be added.
