Trying to pick out a cam

i think m3rst had a cam with a stock verter... still new at this... if i get the cam kit does it come with the gasket etc???i have a 4.8 does it have dod or thats for only the flexfuel engines???

he has the same cam tootall is selling. he ran 13.5 @ 105 stock converter, 3:42s. he added a circle d and now its wayyyy more fun for him to drive he says.

cam kit comes with:
cam
valve springs
pushrods
nothing else.

you need head gaskets, head bolts, cam gear if you run a 3 bolt cam, DOD delete kit.

about 1200-1300 to do a cam swap if not more.

I've got an 80e, so it stalls/flashes to 2600-2800 . . . but the 33 inch tires it sits on does not help.

1st gear is a slug even when it's stock . . .

So it does have dod.. dang...
now im debating is the cam worth it or just get a LY6..

i think the 4.8 has DOD...im not sure. i could be wrong.

yeah he's on 17s or so with DRs.
13.80 in 65+ weather full weight.

Niff, Im assuming your talking about Cody. Yea, his truck is a beast for the little he has done. Major Wednesday morning truck there.

And he is running Nissan Titan 20's with BFG Drags if i remember right.
