ok finally got my pan off last night and here is a pic of it:
http://s9.postimage.org/jg63vx9q6/pan.jpg It looked alot worse in person but its had like silver mud build up in filter and in pan and the filter was heavy and im sure it was clogged. I didnt notice a ton of shavings or anything crazy. I also drove the truck around last night and everything went well so hopefuly the problem is fixed. |
I cant see the pic, but if there is material in the pan i can assure you the problem will be back. Its most likely a clutch material which means a clutch pack (most likely 3-4) is breaking down. you have adaptives in your pcm correcting as much as it can to keep you from feeling the issue. i suggest you keep saving up because it may not be long.

it's not shifting hard at all does that matter?
|
Not at all. it has whats called TAP cells which will adjust shift time to happen withing a certain window. They can only adjust to a certain point and then it will get soft or hard. i would bet if you had a scanner that could reset them it would have a lazy shift somewhere. you may get lucky and ride out for a while, but i highly suggest keeping the money ready for a rebuild.

Yea if there was enough mud in the pan to clog the filter... your timing is limitied. Thats alot of clutch material!
Oh and do i get a cookie or something for guessing it right the first time?? :D |
whats the latest?
|
no cookies for nonnie!!
|
i been driving it around town and highway with no problems :) well not till last night when i bought a brand new f150 fx2 :)))
