Default Track results K&N CAI

It should be noted that the tune was done before the K&N was installed. I installed it 01/14/12 so the computer has had time to adjust. Looks like it's good for about a tenth if you factor in the DA. For those that dont know, every thousand foot of DA is about a tenth of a second in the 1/4 mile.

Tune Only,-1700 DA
2.123 sixty ft
13.817 1/4 mile
100.11 mph

Tune,K&N CAI,-900 DA
2.129 sixty ft
13.793 1/4 mile
100.02 mph

You can't really make that statement. 1/10 of a second can be due to any little variation in the wind. If you notice, your MPH and your 60' were slower. Not enough proof for me to justify spending the cash on one.

Yes, I can make that statement. And I'm not suggesting you rush out and buy one, simply posting my results. I have been racing for years. I am a two time bracket champion, I know how the weather affects my vehicles. I made four other passes that night. My results are pretty conclusive so I'll go ahead and state again, the K&N CAI is good for about a tenth.

You can make the statement, but it doesn't make it true. I don't care how many championships you've won. Your times don't prove anything.

His gains were under two tenths, but they were gains in those particular runs and that's what matters to him. I've went through a lot of intakes, and the K&N with AEM dry-flo is probably my favorite, next to a larger, custom intake that I'm running now with my card-style maf. It's not that big of a damn deal. If you're so intent on arguing over a man's results, call your State Representative or Congressman and bitch to them about something that actually matters. He didn't even recommend the product or say it was worth the cash--just results were posted, reliable or not.

Just more unreliable, inflated, bullshit posted by PT.net members.

To the OP, thanks for posting, maybe this info will help someone trying to determine if they should look into a K&N or not.
