So as I start my truck today I noticed a loud squeaking sound coming from it. At first I was shocked like WTF, so i looked at the belt, all the pulleys, the cats, any exhaust leaks, A/C compressor, etc. Everything seems fine. I drive the truck and as it warms, the noise gets down to a softer squeak. It only happens when truck is on, and as I drive it goes away, when I get back to idle it comes back but very softly. Funny thing is, there are no Check engine lights, no codes, and performance of vehicle is not affected. Rides like it does everyday. Since I had to go to work and this is my daily driver I say **** it, she's got warranty to the dealer she goes. It sucks because i just got my tune yesterday and truck runs great. So now she sits at the dealer as I chill here at the house and wait for a response. Luckily my buddy left on deployment and left me his E46 6 speed M3 so at least i have something to drive, something nice to drive lol.

Lmao thanks n I opted out on the rental. Using the homies e46 M3 6 speed manual instead. (we like family) Since he's on deployment I agreed to change out his o2 sensor and rear diff seal if he let me hold it. I got it for a month. Lol. And he supplied all the parts lol.

Might be a dumb question, but have you ever sprayed/hosed down the engine while it was warm/hot? even cleaning the engine bay?

 

yeah you should of taken ur belt off.. and try every pully..

 

Take the first belt off, see if you can duplicate, then take the AC belt off, check again, is what i would have started with

 

I had the same prob with my 06... id bet its going to be your belt.

 

I changed the belt and as I did checked the pillows n it still was there. That's when I took it in, I said **** it warranty will cover it. The light before my phone fell out the cup holder and hit the DSC button (traction) without me knowing. I turned mashed it n pulled a sick as drift for about 500ft. I say spun out because it wasn't intentional. Lmao I just feathered the gas and counter steered. The vette behind me gave me thumbs up as I cruised at 65 to wipe my ***. Lmao
