So I put a NBS console in my NNBS ... ummm
It all started with my need for a few more guages, but my lack of liking pillar pods.
A buddy acquired a Tahoe for the motor and was parting out the rest, so I snapped up the center console from it ... prices for NNBS LT2 center consoles are REDICULOUS!!! All that I found were over $4-500 and even $800 on one of the popular sites for take off consoles. This was a more affordable $0.
so here goes...
Had to cut the front to shape of the dash. Driver side had more material to shape to the curve but the passenger side is already about 1/2" away so only barely trimmed some of it and there's a gap. So had to trim a bit more of the driver side to match that gap (slight OCD). Cut up the guts and bolted it on! I have lost access to the pull down ash tray (never used anyway) but that's okay.
The guages will go in the hole left by the cassette player in the middle above the little flap pocket. I'll probably make a plate out of textured plastic for it.
It doesn't really match the NNBS design but hopefully won't show as much when it's painted black satin.
