Never hit the truck, never bottomed out. I have Helper bags on the truck so it was just an overly stiff shock making it ride like crap..

OR SO I THOUGHT

ok so this weekend my parents came up and Dad and i went to Indy to the pole day and bump day at INDY 500 track.. I rode in the pass seat for the first time and GOD It still rides like ****..

I have the truck sitting on springs and spindles in the front, and the rear is flipped with welded on perches instead of the bolt on deals, and Street performance shocks.. and it rides like ****.. I have got to do something about the ride quality

EDIT: the truck also has airbags on the back, over the axle on a custom crossmember but they have no air in them so they shouldn't effect the ride..

What is different about my truck making it ride so badly..

Will still having the overload spring on the bottom of the spring pack make it ride worse??

Also the truck is sitting back on stock 17s with brand new BFG long trail T/As on it, sold the 22s

Thanks

Check the load rating of those A/Ts your running. If they are a heavier load rated tire, the ride is going to be much stiffer because the side walls of the tires are alot harder than a lower rated tire, therefor affecting ride quality. If they are the same load rating as the stocks, then just start to accept the fact that you gotta give up a little ride to go low! lol

Yeah they are P tires actually so not E rated.

I have nothing to compare it to because nobody here has a lowered truck..

If i could ever ride in anyone elses lowered NNBS i could decide if mine rides poorly or not..

Anyone live in central indiana????

Mine rides like garbage as well. Im on control arms and a flip 4/7. Has the nitro II shocks out back. I dont have a notch but have been told its a must in order to allow the shocks to work.

All 4 of my wheels chatter all over the place.

Must be all those southerners with the nice flat roads saying it rides good.

Mine is an 09 single cab with Belltech spindles and struts up front, flip kit in the rear with nitro drop shocks. Rides like a champ, definatly doesn't ride as good as stock tho. I also have 22's with 305/40/22 nitto 420's all the way around it. The only time it botoms is when my bike is in the back. I think Chad still has airbags on his and i'm not sure what shocks in the back, but his rides like *** compared to mine. Might be the extra weight of the extended cab tho.

Ext cab and quad cab all have great ride compared to RCSB due to wheelbase as well.. i think they have different rear springs..

Huh, well then i guess i really dont have too much to bitch about.. I wish someone lived up near me to compare tho..
