Default Side Exit Exhaust

I recently bought a 2010 Texas Edition CCSB Silverado. I have seen exhaust setups which exit in front of the rear tire and I think it will look good with my step bars.

My question is, why do the pics I see only exit one side? I would like for my setup to come out on both sides in front of the tire if possible. Anybody got an answer to this?

The gas tank is right in the area where the pipes need to come out.. Not to mention that you will have to cross under/over the drive shaft to do so. A production exhaust would be a ton of money if that were a kit. It would be a custom set of pipes off the manifolds or headers, so that you wouldn't have to cross the drive shaft..

Dang... Oh well I guess I will have the people doing it come out the one side. At any rate, it should sound good right? Any problems with drone out the side like that?

You can do it, it's been done before. Crossing under the tranny crossmember is not a big deal, and the most ideal location to do the cross over. As far as the gas tank, you'll have to get the pipe to cross in front of it, and then under the frame before heading another 3 feet back in order to exit in front of the tire.
I did it with my truck on both sides andit worked fine, just personal taste really.

ive had my exhaust exit in front of the rear passenger side tire since jan 2008....
there werent any kits made for the new trucks yet back then, so I had the muffler shop custom bend my pipes and it looks good.
As far as drone, it is a bit more but its do-able.

Thanks Dewey!
My internet is super slow here in the middle of the ocean and photobucket is blocked so I had no way to link any photo's. Anyways, that's how I did it.

That doesn't look doable while keeping the cat-forward. Also according to those pics the side-exits are cut-outs? Maybe I see it wrong...
