Should I get 1 7/8" headers?
My truck is going to have a MP112 and some other goodies. Should be pushing around 450-500 rwhp when finished. Do I need the 1 7/8's or would the 1 3/4's do. Who all makes the 1 7/8's for our trucks. I'm probably going to be running cats also.

I had this discussion with a member here.. I 7/8 will work, but so will 1 5/8 He gave me some numbers, that they came up with. A header of 1 5/8 will support about 107 hp per cylinder.. 1 7/8 work well on bigger CI motors, or alot of boost... I 3/4 will work fine, allow plenty of room for hp 550+.. Plenty and plenty of us are running 1 3/4 on boosted 6.0's with room to grow. Also alot 1 7/8 setups, come with 3.5 inch collectors. BTW there is a GP on here for stainless works headers

I was planning on running single 3 1/2" exhaust anyway. I talked to ARH, good headers but very expensive. If I will be running 3 1/2" exhaust, any suggestions for a muffler. I dont want anything too loud.

1 7/8 for boost, yes, arh has em and yes they are pricey
i don't know where you are going to get 3.5 in cat back, not much sense in doing a 3.5
muffler without pipes to match
if you want quiet, corsa touring would be the choice, 3"

i'm sure you could find 3.5 inch tubing but i think you will have a
hard time trying to find someone to bend it, and it wouldn't be cheap.
here is what you could do, get the arh 1 7/8 headers[they are make for 6.2]
and get a oe 6.2 catback, which is 3.5 inch and would be reasonably quite.
you may find a take-off in a muffler shop [ i have one but am not going to ship that far]
or you could price the gm oe stuff.
