Service Traction Control and Stabilitrak on WOT

Hi guys,

Every time I go WOT I get a Service Traction Control and Stabilitrak notification on the dash and both, the traction and ABS light stay on. It goes away when I shut the car off and start it again. When this happens, gear shifting goes out of whack and it feels like something is holding back the power (limp mode??)

Any ideas on what this could be?

Appreciated!

It is a limp mode what year...(nvm i went back and got that lol!!) need to find out what the codes are that its throwing could be something in the tune, or with the throttle body, are you getting an engine light at all?? Basically limp mode locks you out of certain gears and maxes out line pressures!!!!

No engine light at all. But I'll try to scan for codes today and see what I get.

If you can scan the abs module also...

What do you mean by "gear shifting goes out of wack"?

I had similar issues, trans would kick out of gear, door locks cycle, traction control lights, etc. Turned out to be the positive lead from starter to batter shorting out on the header and causing all kinds of problems.

while tuning, mine went into limp home mode when the tune hit the max grams/cyl limit in the tune. Ofcourse it was a tuning issue but def something to check since you're also running boost

Mine does this when I loose traction. I would say it's normal based on what is happening.

Was traction control turned off in the tune? If not, once traction control is triggered, it can pull spark, fuel, etc.

I will definitely check that.

I say out of whack because it's almost as if it doesnt know whether to shift or not. It hesitates.

I have disabled traction control and ABS manually. I'm not sure if it's off in the tune.

So I changed the plugs and everything is back to normal. Who would have thought?
