RCSB 5.3 VS 6.2 CC both stock
#21
Your truck would run better stock compared to a NBS truck because you have better heads and intake from the factory.
But stock for stock I would say the 6.2l would get you.

its obvious he beat him good on the first one, and the single cab is on wat looks like stock 17s and 4 door on 24s, thats impressive for the ccsb in my opinion cause thats half a second differense right there

those are not the races i was talking about, in those videos the Denali had a tune & CAI vs a full bolt on 5.3 with zo6 cam, 3400 stall and 4.10's on drag radils and the Denali would always catch up to it around 95-100 we just needed a faster video truck by the way the Denali was on 24's

i dont have any vids racing when i was stock with stock wheels
but if you wanna know what it would take to be right next to one just cai and tune will put you pretty much neck to neck with a stock cc6.2 anything extra will help

Damn.....I want a 6.2l
Watching an almost stock 6.2l with CAI and Tune eat a 5.3 with full bolts + cam + tune is like a kick in the nuts for me because I have my LT-ORY and tune on the way and my friends stock AWD CC Caddy may still out run me.

No I agree that 4 door on 24's is very impressive no doubt. It was just hard to tell in that video. I didn't mean anything by it was just messin with ya dude. So a good tune and a cool air will put me up to speed with a stock 6.2. Hmm I wonder what bolt on's would get my little truck to solid 13.50's

gotcha, and well as silverbirch said making that rcsb 5.3 a full bolt-on and + cam and a stall with slicks, will put u in low 13's 13.5 no problem for sure, depending in weather and cam offcourse you could very possibly manage high 12's with mods stated.. but just bolt ons 13.5 is out of reach, not saying it cant happen, maybe someone has, just havent really heard of one go that fast on bolt ons..who knows

I think it could be done with the cai, tune, headers and stall now that I think about it. My uncles 02 5.3 3:73's rcsb ran a 14.95 bone *** stock at baytown years ago. My truck has 30 then that year model.
