Those look like stock shackles to me....If you move that hanger up it will drop your truck since its inverted now.

with the leafs flipped you gotta kinda think opposite...lol

Well they hanger is as high up as it goes and if those are the stock shackles then I'm already at a 7" drop in the rear right? The work order for the lowering kit on my truck doesn't mention anything about aftermarket shackles just flip kit with adjustable hangers.

No those hangers actually raise the drop not lower, your only at 7" if the hanger is stock and the shackle is stock.

So your saying you cannot raise that hanger by using the bottom holes?...is it too close to the bed underside?

you have to raise that hanger to lower the truck since the shackle is now inverted.

I was still in the lifted truck state of mind that if I you go higher the truck goes higher now it's the oppisite. I can raise the hanger up and get the 2" I wanted in the back, it should clear the bed fine. Will I need to adjust my pinion angle at all? Also when I was looking this morning to see if the hanger can clear the bed I noticed that the bump stops (I believe they're still factory or just as big as factory) they'd be probably right on the plate, should I take them off or just trip them down a bit?

If you are near a 6- 7 inch drop in the rear you will have to completely remove the bumpstops to have any ride quality.

Well jacked up the rear today and raised the hangers up to the other set of holes. I definitely noticed the difference when I let the jack down (was under the hitch) and the clearence had changed. Also the bumpstops are pretty close to hitting now but with the roads we have here shouldn't be a problem, if so I'll just cut'm in half. I'll try to get some pics if I can find my camera.

Is your factory metal drop down bracket been removed that the bumpstop screws in?

I cut mine off and my kit came with a new shorter bumpstop

heres a pic of my clearance at 6" drop

in my pic you can see my bumpstop screws into the frame...in that second pic its what he is cutting off. Since these new trucks situp so high, GM made a drop down bracket that the bumpstop screws into instead of into the frame. Its a good 3" drop bracket.

more pics of it being cutoff

JB man you're a wealth of knowledge The bracket has been removed on my truck as well and the bumpstop is mounted direct to the frame but it is the factory bumpstop.
