Default Quality Of Mcgaughys Drop Spindle???

I'm considering these spindles
#34037

I was curious on the quality of them. Im told I'll still be able to fit my 17" factory wheels for winter time. I usually like belltech but they're almost $130 more so thats why I was curious if theres an issue with these that they're so much cheaper

nevermind the cost comment, I just found on Summit its only $20 more for the belltech spindles. the belltech store listed them at $350, summit has them at 280

From what I understand you will loose some, if not a good amount of steering radius with spindles. My truck has lowering springs now and I am wanting to do stock springs and drop it in a different way for ride and getting rid of my bump steer. I am for sure going with DJM lower control arms to guarantee good ride and steering radius and for my 01 they are only $318.00 and worth the difference. Just my $.02

I currently have drop struts. I'm going to a 3/5 stance.
I've heard about that steering loss before too but I'm prepared to live with it unless I gotta 3-point to make a normal right hand turn.....haha

McGaughys are def high quality , they look identically to the stock spindles -the mounting ( drop) location . They also won a GM design award.

I did loose turning radius , might be able to grind a little and help it.
But the truck looks good with em so I'm happy lol .

I have used the bell tech drop spindles and the quality was great. (2010 CC Silverado) didnt loose any turning radius. you need to grind the lower ball joint stud to fit the wheel.

I knew about cutting the lower ball joint stud to the nut for fitting, I was just making sure it'd still work with factory 17's. i'm hoping to order the spindles soon and have installed by new years

Never had bell techs , but the research I've done led me to buy the McGs.

Another member here said that some grinding/clearancing of the spindle can be done to help turn radius, I have not investigated it yet, it's on my bucket list lol.
