Default progress so far...

so i got both headers on... just need to bolt up the y pipe and go see benjy to weld the flange... im not very goo at this write up stuff but here goes... after trucks lifted and secure on jack stands i removed the factory y, next came the inner fender wells, did pass side first.. remove plugs heat sheild and manifold, oh dont forget to take out the dipstick jimmy!!! ... brought the header in from the bottom... then repeat for drivers side... now pics.. got a few from the top after install... also you theres a pic from the bottom to show that the pass header is pretty close to the frame but i think itll be ok... enjoy.. im going to sleep...

looking good! i didnt take my wheel wells out but your write is nice. just list the tools you used and part numbers and it could be put in a Haynes manual :thumbsup

havent thought about it.. i usually like to hang onto stock stuff but idk if i want that y pipe lyin around... think theyre worth anything?

Stock fasteners, or am I wrong? Are you replacing your wires? I'm setting some cash aside for headers, so I enjoy your updates.

yes stock manifold bolts, will eventually replace wires...

heres another update... got the y pipe on... had to trim some of the trans heat sheild... i have a 6l80e... not sure bout the 4l60e guys... plenty of room at the steering shaft for those worried... just waitin to have the flange welded...

the cats are worth some momey, i dont know how much people are selling them for. id keep the stock stuff skipper simply bc its so hard to track down the stock stuff if you sell your truck and would like to sell the exhaust.
i have all my stock exhaust for that reason.

yea ill more than likely keep it... i like to hang on to stock stuff...
