problems with o2s

Well when he did the tune he didnt disable the dod and it ran fine. Then one night i stopped at red light and the truck dropped the rpm and it sounded like i had a big cam then i told him and he said that it was something with the truck and didnt know what it was. Then we found out it was the dod the other day cuz he tried to turn them off with the hpt and at 4500 rpm it would stutter or sound like it had fireworks going off behind us. Then he put the stock tune and now its worse than it was and thats when he told me it had to be the dod that was going out on the truck.

the money youre going to spend on a TR cam just get with Pat G and get a spec'd cam imo. your dod isnt going to go out unless your lifters are failing or you hae a worn cam due to lifter failure. take the truck to the dealer with the stock tune and see what they say. worse thing thatll happen is they wont fix it. but if you dont care about a warrenty just cam it and get rid of the dod all together. TR sells the dod delete kit for what...300-325 or so? why not just buy your own LS7 lifters/Trays/LS2 wedge style tensioner/LS7 valley cover for around 275-285. itll save you money plus youll get a better tensioner. its w.e you want id just think about it and see what you wanna do.
there is a part list of everything you need. also i would go with ARP head bolts vs stock bolts, ARP cam bolts, ARP cam plate bolts just for the ease of install.
pm if you need any help
