The split bumper is part of one of the towing packages. I don't have a towing package on mine.

The "split" bumper is part of the Max Trailering Package (NHT) on the half tons.

NHT includes (on a 1LT truck)
VortecMax
Towing package
Rear disc brakes
G80
Z85 suspension
17" Aluminum Wheels
Fog lights

VortecMax alone includes:
6.0 w/ 4l70E trans
oil cooler
trans cooler
9.5" rear end w/ 3.73 gear (4.10 option)

BTW, I have the non-NHT Vmax and I have the high-flow (slotted) front bumper. But only because the dealer ordered the wrong one when a car wash damaged my original one.
