Past supercharger truckers?

Past supercharger truckers?
I am stone curious here and would like a no BS answer as I try to make up my mind.
I've seen many of you through the years do a blower install and a few supporting mods then sometimes soon after or a year to few years you see the blower for sale on here and going back to stock. Have you had engine problems or quirkiness you weren't happy with and just went back stock or simply moved to a newer vehicle.
Are there any drawbacks to doing a simple bolt on magnuson swap the pulley tune it and leave it pretty much as is. Of all the stuff I've done through the years I personally have never owned a blower even though I have installed them for customers. Most of the vehicles have literally gotten wrecked or blown up long before they were able to put 40,50,60,70K miles on a car once the blower was installed to really see it's long term longevity.

I'd be willing to bet that most go back to stock to recoup some of their money on a trade on a newer ride, instead of trying to trade-in a heavily modded truck.
I've had a supercharged truck for close to 5 yrs now, and couldn't be happier. is it a simply bolt-on? yep, but not the way I did it. I put a built 4l85e in at the same time, so I wouldn't have to grit my teeth everytime I went wot. Because of that it has been flawless.
Is it the fastest truck around? No!
Is it the slowest? Hell No!
What could be better than catching some kid in a newer mustang at a stoplight, and then to pull the paint off of his doors at the green?

My thoughts exactly! I bought my 2006 NHT sierra in 2009 with 10K on it. by mid-summer 2010 it was (smallish) cam, 4l85e(built), sc2800 yank, meth, lts, wcch 317's, 14 bolt 373's, yadda, yadda. Never missed a beat! If I had it to do all over again I'd do it the same. Now it's at 45k, with about 60k on the blower because I bought it used.
It did 458rwhp/487tq, before the heads, and I drive it every day, if that's quirky, give me more.

I put 130k miles on my 04 silverado with a mp112 on it from day one. Never had any issues. I set it up at 10 psi and left it alone. I sold the truck with it still running strong. I bought a new avalanche thought I would be ok with the loss of power and ended up putting a Tvs 1900 on it after a year. Would not hesitate to do it on my next vehicle. I have a vette with a procharger also. Its addictive. Never had a single issue except exploding the G80 on the avalanche. 450 rwhp, 33" tires, 6000 pounds and barking 3rd gear were a little much for the g80. The truetrac has worked like a champ though.
