They can be blamed for obstructing the light coming from your taillights which "poses a threat to the safety of those driving around you who may not be able to see the lights due to the tint until they crash into the rear of you..." as I was told when I got a ticket in my old truck. Most cops wont even bother wasting their time though on taillights, headlights is another thing entirely though

Go with the steel for sure man.

My urethane one is nice but I am going to switch it out for steel once their prices go down on them (I've seen them from $400-$700 for NNBS trucks) so IMO wait for the steel pan!
