Default Lowering a 4x4

I have owned a lowered 02 ExCab 2wd and an 05 Trailblazer 2wd. Both lowered 2/4 using Beltech kit on one and DJM kit on the other. But they were both 2wd.
Now I have a 2000 RCSB 4x4 that I want to lower and I've never messed with torsion keys so I'm a little intimidated. What do you recomend for lowering it? If I just remove the rear blocks and un-crank the keys where would I be? Any info/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Maybe a 1/1 drop?

The block is only like 1in thick I think. I would remove the block, do a 2in drop shackle and you'd be at roughly 3in in the rear and just do drop spindles up front to get 2in. That should keep everything up front good with the cv axles.

Thanks FFDP! Hey, can the keys be backed off some with the spindles? Isn't it the keys cranked up that causes the harshness in the front end?

I'm sure you could back them off but not sure you'd need too.

And yeah having them cranked up can cause poor ride quality. They cranked them up on our shop truck (1500 HD) to give it more room for the tires and it rides like complete *** around town.

I would just toss a 2" drop spindle in the front and use a shackle/hanger kit for 4" in the rear.

Messing around with Torsion bars can give you some nasty camber problems.

I would go with the Belltech Part#2511 spindle, Belltech Struts with the Belltech 5" to 6" Flip kit, Part #6521. Also will need rear shocks, Part # 2210FF.

Can I get a price on this please!

Belltech Part#2511 spindle $278

Belltech Struts 25003 $75x2= $150 (blemished paint)

Belltech 5" to 6" Flip kit Part #6521 $284

Part # 2210FF $59.20x2= $118.40

w/ forum discount of 10% $747.36

plus free shipping, that saves you about $50-$75
