NNBS Denali Grill Paint / Options
Hey,
I have a 2008 Sierra Denali and I'm not one for chrome.
At first I left it bone stock because I thought it was a shame to mess with a Denali.
But I'm over it... My NBS silverado was completely blacked out and I loved the look, thinking about doing the same or something similar to this truck.
I've already switched out the chrome door handles for factory black painted ones, I'm not debating what to do with the front end.... It's just too chrome for me.
Current grill:
I love the look of the color-matched all-terrains.
The mesh options look good, but a little to plain or empty to me.
I'm wondering if someone has pictures of a stock Denali upper and lower grill colormatched black?
Or maybe the honeycombs grill left chrome, with just the outer chrome trim painted black?
I found this one truck, looks like a stock denali grill painted to me. I like it!
Maybe with a billet GMC logo though.
Any comments appreciated, pictures are great too!

Both those "blacked out" and the cleared headlights look sick. Id say at the least black out the chrome around the grill with a billet gmc logo or the grill and chrome around the grill blacked out with a red gmc logo(similar to the all terrain grill)

No lift and tires here... Denali's are AWD.
It's gonna stay the same ride height, maybe just lower it in the back to sit level.
Here's a couple quick photoshop renditions I did.
Stock:
Black Grill/Chrome Trim & Emblem:
Chrome Grill/Black Trim & Emblem:
All Black/Chrome Emblem:
The problem is that the lower grill has to match the upper grill... And the Denali lower valence has cut-outs for the grill insert, so I can't just remove it. Does anyone know if the All-Terrain trucks have a lower grill or is it just black plastic like the rest?
I did talk to my local painter, and he did advise me not to try painting that chrome.. Even with proper sanding and prep it chips really easy. So I donno, we'll see... Hmm.
Here's my truck right now, gave her a bath last night:

Well... everyone on the other forums agree... #3 looks the best.
It would require some taping and I'm not sure how easy that would be.
I just found this set-up too... and I honestly think this is my favorite so far.
I like the idea of keeping it a Denali... just not a chrome one, haha.

I think all black is too much makes it look like a salvaged truck bodyman did too much well thats my opinion I vote just paint the shell around the grille like the photoshop above with the black gmc logo if you paint it all black it kills the Denali look and looks like a regular plain ol sierra
