Well no track but adjusted the tune to the "extreme tune" and definitely felt it...the first time. I didn't adjust the tire size so it had my tires as 4200 mm. which I'm not sure the conversion on that but it's not my 285's so I redid the tune to a little over what it had stock listed as since stocks I believe are 265's and it ran worse this time than it did with just the econonmy tune and I'm not sure why!! The first run with the "extreme tune" the truck ripped faster than it has before and spun like no-other off the line but because the tire size was off it (I believe that's why) it said I ran a 12.47 @ 93.2 MPH which I know can't be right. I adjusted it to what I thought my tire size was (just slightly over what it had listed as stock) and the truck ran a 15.47 @ 90.1 MPH which is my worst run yet!! What's going on here?? Maybe the Edge's 1/4 mile test isn't as good as I thought before. I need a track!! Also if someone could find out my tires exact size in mm. it would be appreciated!

you did put in the higher octane gas on the extreme tune right.just checking.

Yep running 91 octane in the truck which is the minimum requirement (not sure where to find 93 here in CA) but just to add the size is the circumference of the wheel and I calculated my 285's as having a 2471 mm. circumference and the first drive I did with the extreme tune it was set at 4200 mm. What do you guys think? Is the programmer off on its times and mph or no because before I tried out the extreme tune everything in the economy tune sounded right, 15.27 @ 93.3 MPH with programmer, exhaust, CAI, TBS but now a 15.47 @ 90.1 MPH with what is supposed to be the faster tune? I'll do one more run tomorrow morning and see if it comes up different.

the numbers thet your edge gives you are not accurate it is just an estimate my friend used to have one before and he tried it while he was at the track it gave him .3 or .4 more on his time depends on the memory of the programmer if it started at the right time.

and about the Headers Is ur truck a 4wd because I want to purchase Pacesetters too for my truck and mine is 4WD so I want to know if it would fit my truck?

RIPBOYD 04-28-2008 11:17 PM

I'll have to just wait for a test and tune day then, not sure how long til then but then we'll know for sure. My truck is 2wd and should have my headers on by the time I run the truck at the track. Prayin for 14's!!
