Are you referring to the 14 models?

I wasn't aware the 6.2 was available with 3.42's. I just got my truck a few months ago and 6.2's were getting hard to find, and only available at the time with the nht package w/3.73's & 10,500# tow rating. Also included a 14 bolt rear with disc brakes

all the 6.2l got a 14 bolt with disks. 3:42 is the most common gear. It all depends on the dealer. most dealers dont even know the truck can be had with a 6.2l

Tell me about it! I like to never got this truck. Dealer 5 miles from me just wanted to sell what was on their lot "50+ 5.3 trucks". Ended up going 40 miles to a dealer that would pick the truck up over 200 miles away. I like the 3.73's but 1st gear goes away quickly! I just got the 6.2 for the lack of afm and a friend is a service tech who makes a good living on repairing junk fuel management.

umm i was just on the chevy site and pretty sure the available gears are 3.08,3.23,3.42, and 3.73

link posted.

i figured as much. no way would they get over 11,000 lbs tow rating with just 3.42s, even in a six speed. hell my dodge with six speed and 3.92 i think is just over 10,500 lbs.
