need muffler recommendations for 09 Sierra denali

I just found out that Doug Thorley makes some TRI-Y long tube headers for the 6.2L engine. But they only have them with 1-3/4 primaries, it also comes with the Y-pipe (no cats). I've been reading that the 6.2L motors like the 1-7/8 primaries. Is it ok to get the 1-3/4 primaries, if I'm only planning on doing bolt ons? Here in Hawaii, I don't see me going past 5000 rpms on our roads, so these TRI-Y long tubes would be good for my truck, correct?
I'm also going to keep the stock exhaust, hey AllShow, you think this set up will be raspy? With no cats and stock exhaust.

If you want to do internal mods, you'll still get a great gain from the 1 3/4 but the 1 7/8 will be that much better.
As for the thread - i'm running longtubes and stock denali catback aswell, i dig it, but the longer I have the closer to stock sounding its reminding me.

Here is a clip of mine, all I did was delete muffler and replace it with 3.5 inch pipe! I like it, not too bad drone either. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGcYX...e_gdata_player
