Not sure what boost you will shoot for Tim but I would run a 76-78mm min.

Remember the Denalis only come with 3.42s, if you get one of the 09+ NHT trucks you can get them with 3.73s which will help a TON with towing. 5th gear all day long with 3.73s ought to do just fine towing most anything.

Most of the guys who have popped their 6.2s were due to tuning problems. There are way too many people putting down 600+ rwhp for a long time for it to be anything but a tuning issue.
Well cool then tuning won't be an issue , that sucks they don't come with 3.73s , my fav ratio .

Yeah that sounds like it would be about perfect , if I did it would be 5-7psi for towing/DD power , max at 10 on high .

I dont know what I wanna do yet , but def wanted to get your guys' opinions on the 6.2s as I am not too familiar with them , but sounds like they will be fine with my plans if I choose to get one , I can't get these new CCs out of my mind .

The LSA has its own block, as does the LS9 which are both different than the L92/LS3/L99 blocks. Theres not much different between the N/A 6.2's so far as reliability under power.

Durability wont be any worse than the GEN 3 engines, as they are structurally pretty much identical between the GEN 3 and GEN 4 family.

The 6 speed trans requires exact tuning to survive.

10.5:1

Since youve got TJ who can do the tuning for you I wouldnt be worried at all. Those guys were pushing crazy numbers on stock longblocks before anyone else. A large wastegate and quality intercooler are going to be key to that motor living while towing boosted.

Like hog said, the 6 speeds are very finicky about tuning to live behind some horsepower. Area47 seems to be one of the few who actually understand all the tables for tuning them. Also there is 6L80e.com which is a forum that you have to pay to access but supposedly its really good and the admin of the site will help you with any specific problems you have with tuning the trans.
